Pataskala Logo Design

Each and every new Pataskala business knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully understand the pivotal role their business logo will play in their success, or the reason that one logo performs better than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Pataskala businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Pataskala coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older part of the town and really wanted to visualize a retro tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of developing a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria developed for Pataskala clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable center in Pataskala.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Pataskala traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pataskala logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Pataskala logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective assessments on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Pataskala book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many instances 1 of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a good sense of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Pataskala logo style made use of for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Pataskala, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that related a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is usually the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo style for a software application designer the design functions as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Pataskala logo dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Pataskala regional farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
