Troy Logo Design

Nearly every new Troy organization knows they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly realize the crucial role their logo will take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Troy companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Troy coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an older part of the city and wanted to project a vintage tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of developing a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Troy medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun center in Troy.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Troy travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Troy logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Troy logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest point of views on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo understand how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Troy publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits folks usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was surely a victory.

Troy logo style utilized for advertising and a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Troy, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs considering that it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a spirit of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout attributes and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Troy logo design dsign utilizing an image that seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really composed for an Troy regional farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to generate an identity that projected trust, financial success, and opulence.
Logo created for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
