Ada Logo Design

Nearly every new Ada organization knows they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully grasp the essential role their company logo will play in their success, or exactly why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining effect on the growth of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Ada companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Ada coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an older section of the community and wanted to visualize a nostalgic feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by designing a logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria designed for Ada medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family fun facility in Ada.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Ada traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ada logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Ada logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest assessments on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how important a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Ada publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most important part of a published book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the items people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Ada logo layout used for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Ada, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which related a feeling of tranquility and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo design produced for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application programmer the design attributes and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Evolve logo layout developed for a Ada interior developer, design feature a collection of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo style including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Ada business logo dsign using an illustration that seizes the interest of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Ada area farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to produce a graphic that projected assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
