Mustang Logo Design

Each and every new Mustang company knows they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the key role their logo will take in their success, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A business logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the success of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Mustang businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Mustang coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually launching in an old section of town and really wanted to cast a retro atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by designing a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs made for Mustang medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Mustang.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Mustang traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mustang logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Mustang logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo realize how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Mustang publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is often the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases one of the traits folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Mustang logo layout utilized for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Mustang, design include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design projects because it seems that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which conveyed a spirit of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style created for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application designer the style features as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Evolve logo design produced for a Mustang indoor developer, layout function a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Mustang logo design dsign using an illustration which seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually designed for an Mustang area farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to generate an identity that projects self-confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
