STRATEGIES ON DETERMINING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design firm presents a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can not refund the time you invest which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be judged from the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio doesn’t feature actual examples chances are they will not be able to deliver a top quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and remembered, and it’s purpose is to mirror your personal vision for your organization. If a logo designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Ponca City LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs establish memorable brand identities. We’ve undertaken logo design work for farmers, educational institutions, diamond miners, wedding singers, bistros, retailers, and practically every other kind of business concern you can imagine. What makes ImageCo different compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every branding project as if it will be utilized as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first strategy our logo designs can, and have been used in everything from fashion labels to electrical signs. Our sign first technique insures that our logo designs are just as effective whether they are used in television commercials or website headers, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and remembered no matter of size or use.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design agencies that you might have come across online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are contracted to perform, we do ourselves. No matter the kind of design project we undertake, business logo, business website, trade show exhibition, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will farm out our client’s projects to agencies located outside the United States. When you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a middleman that marks up the price of your design project and dictates the terms of how we conduct business.

QUALITIES OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Ponca City business realizes that they need a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the vital role their logo design will make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A company logo has a critical and long-term impact on the viability of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Ponca City businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from label to store signs a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the item or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be ageless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It’s both a verb as well as a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the process of marking something to ensure that it can be recognized, its foundation comes from the brand branded onto animals. Nowadays a brand indicates pretty much anything with an objective, regardless if it be earnings or politics, a brand is an inherent aspect of specifying the worth of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are both from the very same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest targeted at a target market, it’s goal is to develop a mental image that the target market will identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and identity design. When a person states the brand names Porsche or Mustang what we think about is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a car with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and that is what makes people purchase those brands. Brand image is why people buy most things, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can relate to.

Branding Agencies – If you look back at the beginning of most branding firms you’ll discover that they are frequently rebranded advertising agencies. When someone claims they are in advertising the majority of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or listened to are part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that specializes in a kind of visual design which helps shape the public image of a firm, a product or a business. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, as well as collateral products such as cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some identity designers also develop web sites as well as user interfaces. The necessary role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and also an emotional tone with the goal of influencing activities, end results as well as understandings.

select logos & signs

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Ponca City coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older section of the area and really wanted to project a nostalgic tone without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs via designing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Ponca City clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a family members enjoyable facility in Ponca City.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - created for Ponca City travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Ponca City logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Ponca City logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of challenges, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Ponca City book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a printed book considering that it is often the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Ponca City logo layout utilized for advertising and a tag design for Vintage Case includes an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Ponca City, style include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a Ponca City hair design studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that related a sense of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a unique company logo design customized to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately recognizable equine breeds in the entire world.

Las Cafe, A Ponca City Coffee shop logo style a tiny restaurant, style includes a modified script typeface which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a little restaurant, design contains a changed manuscript typeface which floats over a team of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the layout attributes and also iconic Ponca City aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Develop logo style created for a Ponca Cityindoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Ponca City interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is an individual who arranges, explores, coordinates, and manages such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, area planning, location assessments, programming, analysis, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and execution of the design.

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Ponca City, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word progressed have actually been changed to tie directly into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Ponca City logo design job was done for a leadership guide that helps business leaders to develop into more efficient at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Ponca City business logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Ponca City logo design design using a graphic that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Ponca City company logo design has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Ponca City area farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a graphic that projected trust, effectiveness, and luxury.

Ponca City Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style feature for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the first try.

Logo made for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is reminiscent of a famous Ponca City sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the owner to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
