Sand Springs Logo Design

Every new Sand Springs venture realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully realize the key role their logo design can play in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo functions far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term impact on the financial success of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Sand Springs companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Sand Springs coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the city and wanted to project a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by creating a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria designed for Sand Springs medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable center in Sand Springs.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Sand Springs travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Sand Springs logo but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Sand Springs logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s allotment of challenges, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Sand Springs book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Sand Springs logo design used for advertising as well as a label design for Vintage Case features an old typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Sand Springs, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which communicated a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo style for a software program developer the layout attributes and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Sand Springs logo design dsign along with an image that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Sand Springs regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this brand was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to design an identity that projects assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
