Tulsa Logo Design

Nearly every new Tulsa organization understands that they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully are aware of the vital role their logo can take in their success, or precisely why one logo design functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Tulsa businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Tulsa coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older part of the area and wished to cast an old-fashioned tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by means of developing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and germs developed for Tulsa clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Tulsa.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Tulsa travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tulsa logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Tulsa logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how important a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of challenges, however the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Tulsa book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Tulsa logo design used for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Situation features an archaic font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Tulsa, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which projected a spirit of relaxation and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software program designer the layout features and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Tulsa business logo dsign along with an image that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Tulsa regional farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to design a brand mark that projected self-assurance, success, and affluence.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the business owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
