Four Corners Logo Design

Virtually every new Four Corners organization realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly understand the pivotal role their logo will perform in their success, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo has a critical and long-term impact on the prosperity of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Four Corners businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Four Corners coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old section of the town and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled each of the jobs via creating a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Four Corners medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a household fun center in Four Corners.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Four Corners traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Four Corners logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Four Corners logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design comprehend how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s share of obstacles, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Four Corners book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the things individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Four Corners logo style used for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Four Corners, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it appears that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a sense of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead created a logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo layout a tiny dining establishment, design contains a customized script font style which floats above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout features and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

Progress logo style created for a Four Corners indoor designer, layout function a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Four Corners logo design dsign with an illustration which captures the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Four Corners area farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular business logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a graphic that projects trust, success, and wealth.
Logo created for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
