Happy Valley Logo Design

Virtually every new Happy Valley business understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners fully comprehend the key role their business logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long term influence on the financial success of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Happy Valley businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Happy Valley coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an old part of the town and wanted to project a nostalgic tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two tasks via designing a logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Happy Valley medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Happy Valley.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Happy Valley traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Happy Valley logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Happy Valley logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Happy Valley publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a published book since it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases one of the aspects consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Happy Valley logo style utilized for advertising and a label style for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Happy Valley, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design projects considering that it seems that every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which projected a sense of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Las Coffee shop logo design a small dining establishment, style includes a changed manuscript font which floats above a team of ornate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software application designer the layout attributes and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Progress logo layout created for a Happy Valley indoor developer, style feature a collection of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Happy Valley logo design dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually created for an Happy Valley regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to design an identity that projects self-confidence, success, and wealth.
Logo developed for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
