Hillsboro, Oregon Logo Design

Each and every new Hillsboro company understands that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the crucial role their business logo can take in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting influence on the growth of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Hillsboro, Oregon companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Hillsboro, Oregon coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old section of the community and wished to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both jobs by means of designing a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Hillsboro, Oregon clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Hillsboro, Oregon traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hillsboro logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Hillsboro logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Hillsboro, Oregon publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most critical part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Hillsboro logo layout made use of for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Hillsboro, Oregon, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that carried a spirit of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious course of creating merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program programmer the design features and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Develop logo design developed for a Hillsboro, Oregon indoor developer, layout function a series of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V and A in center of words advanced have actually been modified to tie directly right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Hillsboro, Oregon logo design job was performed for a management guide that enables business professionals to become more effective at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.
A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Hillsboro logo dsign with an illustration that seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually developed for an Hillsboro, Oregon regional farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to design an identity that projects trust, success, and prosperity.

Hillsboro Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo design attribute for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the freedom to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
