Klamath Falls Logo Design

Virtually every new Klamath Falls venture knows they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely realize the pivotal role their business logo will play in their financial success, or exactly why one logo functions far better than another. A logo has a critical and lasting impact on the success of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Klamath Falls businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Klamath Falls coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an older section of the town and wished to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by means of creating a company logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Klamath Falls clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a household fun center in Klamath Falls.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Klamath Falls travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Klamath Falls logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Klamath Falls logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design understand how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Klamath Falls book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences one of the things people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Klamath Falls logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Klamath Falls, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which related a feeling of peace and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious course of making simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application programmer the design attributes as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Klamath Falls logo design dsign using an illustration which grabs the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Klamath Falls area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this logo design was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a graphic that projects self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is evocative a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
