Lents Logo Design

Nearly every new Lents business knows they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the vital role their logo design will perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term influence on the financial success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Lents businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Lents coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older part of the area and really wanted to project a retro vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of developing a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Lents medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Lents.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Lents traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lents logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Lents logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design understand how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s share of challenges, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Lents book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences one of the traits consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Lents logo style used for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Lents, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo that projected a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the perception that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original organization logo concept fashioned to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian type of equines. By having a distinctive head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse lineages in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, layout includes a modified manuscript font which floats over a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Progress logo design developed for a Lents indoor designer, style attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V as well as A in middle of the word advanced have actually been customized to connect straight into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Lents logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Lents area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to design a graphic that projected esteem, success, and luxury.
Logo developed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
