McMinnville Logo Design

Each and every new McMinnville company knows they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the pivotal role their business logo can take in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo functions far better than another. A logo has a critical and long term impact on the success of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help McMinnville businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a McMinnville coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old section of the city and wanted to cast a vintage atmosphere without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by creating a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for McMinnville medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable facility in McMinnville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for McMinnville traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  McMinnville logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

McMinnville logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo realize how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for McMinnville publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book because it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a success.

McMinnville logo style made use of for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an archaic typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in McMinnville, style consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design which carried an atmosphere of serenity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo design which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software developer the layout functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their McMinnville business logo dsign along with a graphic that pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t really produced for an McMinnville regional farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to develop a graphic that projected self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design created for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
