STRATEGIES ON PICKING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design firm offers a money back guarantee try to bear in mind that they can’t reimburse the amount of time you invest which is eminently more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but ultimately a designer can only be judged from the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio does not contain real world samples odds are they will never be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and remembered, and it’s objective is to echo your personal vision for your business. If a designer is not focused on realizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Levittown LOGO DESIGN

For over twenty years ImageCo has been helping small business owners develop memorable brand identities. We have done brand identity design work for builders, schools, diamond miners, party planners, bistros, retail stores, and just about every other kind of business concern you can think of. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every brand identity project as though it will be used as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first method our identity designs can, and have been utilized in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first technique insures that our logo designs are just as effective whether they are used in television commercials or website apps, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered no matter of scale or function.

American Made ★ Design

Something that truly sets ImageCo apart from other design firms that you might have found on-line, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are brought on board to do, we do in-house. Regardless of the type of project we accept, business logo, web site, trade show exhibit, or retail sign, we do not, and never will job out our customer’s work to companies located outside the United States. Whenever you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that increases the cost of your project and imposes the terms of how you and I conduct business.

QUALITIES OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Levittown entrepreneur realizes that they require a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their company logo can perform in their financial success, or why one logo works better than another. A logo design has a critical and sustaining effect on the financial success of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Levittown companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not need contemplation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to retail signs a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel exclusive, and they are suitable for the item or company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is a verb as well as a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the process of marking something to ensure that it could be identified, its foundation originates from the mark burned onto animals. These days a brand signifies virtually anything with a motive, regardless of whether it be revenue or government agencies, a brand is an innate aspect of defining the value of something in the customer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like marketing and advertising’s attractive sister, they are both from the exact same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest aimed at a target audience, it’s goal is to create an image that the audience will connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and also identity design. When someone states the names Lamborghini or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, beauty, of something dangerous and unique . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals want those brands. Brand image is why individuals acquire specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the history of the majority of branding companies you’ll find that they are frequently rebranded marketing firms. When somebody states they are in marketing many people will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. However when someone claims “I’m in branding”… it just seems much more attractive, maybe it’s because most individuals don’t know what it indicates to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and maybe even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that explains the visual components of a product or business that influence view points. This primarily includes the name, the logo design, the product packaging, the different colors utilized however can also include sound, lights, texture, signs, actually anything that can be seen, touched or listened to become part of a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that specializes in a type of visual design which helps shape the image of a company, a product or a company. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, and collateral material such as cards, stationery, and also pamphlets. Some visual designers also build sites and also user interfaces. The necessary function of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues and an emotional tone with the objective of influencing actions, end results and perceptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Levittown coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old section of the city and wished to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two jobs by developing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Levittown clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Levittown.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Levittown traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Levittown logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Levittown logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Levittown book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a printed book considering that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the items folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of flight and it was surely a victory.

Levittown logo style made use of for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Levittown, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a Levittown hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which carried a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo design produced for an equine cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind organization logo concept fashioned to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With a different head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most immediately identifiable horse breeds in the world.

Las Cafe, A Levittown restaurant logo layout a tiny restaurant, design contains a modified script font style which floats above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a small dining establishment, design consists of a modified manuscript font which floats above a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software program programmer the design attributes as well as legendary Levittown element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Advance logo style produced for a Levittownindoor developer, design feature a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Levittown interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who prepares, researches, coordinates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a multifaceted occupation that includes conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, study, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and execution of the design.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Levittown, the personalities for letter V and also A in middle of the word advanced have actually been customized to link directly into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Levittown logo design project was undertaken for a management guide that assists business professionals to develop into more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Levittown business logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Levittown logo design along with a graphic which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.

Logo style MQ farms, this Levittown company logo style has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Levittown regional farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to develop a image that projected esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.

Levittown Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for externally facing arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo design developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a popular Levittown sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
