Murrysville Logo Design

Virtually every new Murrysville business knows they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the crucial role their organization logo will perform in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Murrysville businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Murrysville coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older section of the area and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via designing a business logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Murrysville medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog created for a family fun center in Murrysville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Murrysville travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Murrysville logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Murrysville logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Murrysville book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems like that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Murrysville logo style used for advertising as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Murrysville, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it appears that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which conveyed a feeling of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is frequently the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo style a tiny dining establishment, design includes a modified manuscript font which hovers over a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Logo layout for a software program designer the layout features and also legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Murrysville logo dsign with an illustration which captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually created for an Murrysville regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to generate a graphic that projects trust, success, and wealth.
Logo designed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
