Pottstown Logo Design

Each and every new Pottstown organization knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the pivotal role their logo can make in their success, or the reason that one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting influence on the success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Pottstown companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Pottstown coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an older part of the area and wished to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks via creating a trademark design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs created for Pottstown medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog developed for a family members fun center in Pottstown.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Pottstown traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pottstown logo design but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Pottstown logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design understand how essential a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Pottstown book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most essential part of a published book since it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the traits consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Pottstown logo layout used for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case includes an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Pottstown, layout include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain precisely how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that communicated an atmosphere of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the importance on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind business logo concept tailored to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. By having an identifiable head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable equine lineages in the world.

Las Cafe logo style a little dining establishment, style includes a modified manuscript font which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo style for a software designer the layout functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Pottstown business logo dsign utilizing an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually produced for an Pottstown area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this business logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to design a image that projects self-confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design designed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
