Wayne, Pennsylvania Logo Design

Every new Wayne venture understands that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully are aware of the pivotal role their logo design can make in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo performs better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting effect on the success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Wayne, Pennsylvania companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Wayne, Pennsylvania coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older section of the city and really wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks via creating a sign design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Wayne, Pennsylvania clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping green frog created for a family enjoyable facility in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Wayne, Pennsylvania travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Wayne logo but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Wayne logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo realize how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Wayne, Pennsylvania book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences one of the traits individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to confering a feeling of flight and it was definitely a winner.

Wayne logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and a label design for Vintage Instance includes an archaic typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Wayne, Pennsylvania, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it appears that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which carried an atmosphere of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of creating just a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the attention on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian horse logo style produced for an equine cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo layout a tiny dining establishment, layout consists of a customized script typeface which floats above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software designer the style functions as well as famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Wayne logo dsign along with a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Wayne, Pennsylvania area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop an identity that projects confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.

Wayne Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly dealing with arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the freedom to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first try.

Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the proprietor to develop a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
