West Chester Logo Design

Each and every new West Chester business realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully understand the essential role their logo design can make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help West Chester companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a West Chester coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the community and wished to cast a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by developing a sign design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria developed for West Chester clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog designed for a family fun center in West Chester.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for West Chester traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Chester logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

West Chester logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for West Chester book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most important part of a published book considering that it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

West Chester logo design utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in West Chester, design consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that related a spirit of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious direction of making just a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout produced for a steed ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a distinct logo concept customized to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most immediately recognizable equine lineages in the world.

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny dining establishment, style contains a changed script font style which floats above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software developer the design attributes and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their West Chester logo design dsign utilizing an illustration that pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really designed for an West Chester area farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this trademark was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to create a graphic that projected confidence, success, and wealth.
Logo made for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
