Rhode Island Logo Design

Virtually every new Rhode Island venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely are aware of the crucial role their logo will make in their success, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and long-term effect on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Rhode Island companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Rhode Island coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an older part of the area and wanted to cast a nostalgic vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by developing a symbol design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Rhode Island medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design Project

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in Rhode Island.

Cool Springs | Retail Branding Project

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Rhode Island traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rhode Island logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Rhode Island logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design Project

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Rhode Island publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design Project

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a published book since it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books. This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design Project

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases 1 of the items people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a sense of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Rhode Island logo style used for marketing and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design Project

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Rhode Island, layout consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design Project

Dentistry logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it seems that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry. I actually really love doing dentistry business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on. Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.
William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design Project

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to convey. The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.
Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that related a sense of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious direction of designing just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.
Arabian steed logo layout produced for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design Project

ImageCo developed a unique custom logo concept customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With an unique head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable equine lineages in the entire world.
Las Coffee shop logo design a small dining establishment, style contains a modified script font which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design Project

Las Coffee shop logo layout a little dining establishment, style includes a modified script font style which floats above a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program programmer the style features and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design Project

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo design developed for a Rhode Island indoor developer, style attribute a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design Project

Evolv Design is a Rhode Island interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. logo layout provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of words progressed have been customized to connect straight into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Rhode Island logo design assignment was undertaken for a management guide that aids business professionals to develop into more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.
A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Rhode Island logo design design utilizing an image that pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Rhode Island regional farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate an identity that projects esteem, success, and opulence.

Rhode Island Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo design feature for outwardly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo developed for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
