Warwick Logo Design

Virtually every new Warwick organization knows they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly understand the essential role their organization logo can perform in their success, or exactly why one logo design functions better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term effect on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Warwick businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Warwick coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the town and wished to project a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via developing a business logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Warwick medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Warwick.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Warwick traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Warwick logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Warwick logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Warwick book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book because it is often the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems that in many cases one of the aspects consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

Warwick logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Warwick, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that communicated a feeling of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software developer the style attributes and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Warwick business logo dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really produced for an Warwick regional farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to create a brand mark that projected self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
