Rio Rico Logo Design

Each and every new Rio Rico business understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the vital role their logo design can perform in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Rio Rico businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Rio Rico coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older section of the community and really wanted to project a retro atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs via developing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Rio Rico medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable center in Rio Rico.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Rio Rico travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Rio Rico logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Rio Rico logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Rio Rico book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a published book since it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Rio Rico logo style used for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be older cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Rio Rico, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it seems that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which projected a sense of simplicity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian steed logo layout developed for an equine ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed an original company logo concept customized to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With a different head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most immediately recognizable horse breeds in the world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, design includes a changed script typeface which floats above a team of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny dining establishment, design consists of a customized manuscript font style which hovers above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the layout functions and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Rio Rico business logo dsign along with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really developed for an Rio Rico area farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this particular business logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to develop a graphic that projected esteem, success, and prosperity.
Logo design created for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
