Somerton Logo Design

Every new Somerton business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the pivotal role their organization logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting effect on the financial success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Somerton businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Somerton coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an older part of the community and really wanted to visualize a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by developing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Somerton clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in Somerton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Somerton travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Somerton logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Somerton logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get honest assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how important a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of obstacles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Somerton book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most important part of a printed book since it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Somerton logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Somerton, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which carried a feeling of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious course of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software programmer the layout attributes as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to market their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Somerton logo design dsign along with an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really composed for an Somerton area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this brand was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make a brand mark that projects esteem, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
