Aiken, South Carolina Logo Design

Nearly every new Aiken company understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely grasp the crucial role their company logo will take in their success, or exactly why one logo design works far better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the financial success of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Aiken, South Carolina companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Aiken, South Carolina coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older part of the area and wished to project a vintage atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via creating a trademark design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Aiken, South Carolina clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a household fun facility in Aiken, South Carolina.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Aiken, South Carolina traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Aiken logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Aiken logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s portion of obstacles, however the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Aiken, South Carolina publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many instances one of the items consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Aiken logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Aiken, South Carolina, design include an arc with lines converging through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it appears that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually really love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which carried a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique organization logo concept fashioned to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. By having an identifiable head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine lineages in the whole world.

Logo layout for a software programmer the style attributes and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Aiken business logo dsign utilizing an image that garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Aiken, South Carolina regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design an identity that projects confidence, success, and affluence.

Aiken Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for outwardly facing arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the liberty to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of realizing where the target is. Luckily, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
