Anderson Logo Design

Every new Anderson organization realizes that they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely are aware of the key role their logo can play in their financial success, or why one logo works far better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Anderson businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require consideration, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Anderson coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older part of the area and wanted to cast a nostalgic tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by means of creating a symbol design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Anderson medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable facility in Anderson.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Anderson traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Anderson logo but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Anderson logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Anderson book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it really is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences one of the items consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Anderson logo design utilized for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Case features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Anderson, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it seems that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that conveyed an atmosphere of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is frequently the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo style created for a steed ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct brand design fashioned to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having an identifiable head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo style a small dining establishment, layout consists of a modified script font which floats over a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software programmer the layout functions and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

Evolve logo layout produced for a Anderson indoor developer, design attribute a collection of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Anderson logo design job was undertaken for a leadership consultant that enables business professionals to develop into more efficient at supervising people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Anderson logo dsign with an image which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really produced for an Anderson area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of many which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop an identity that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is reminiscent of a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
