Greenville Logo Design

Each and every new Greenville organization realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the pivotal role their organization logo can take in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Greenville businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Greenville coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old part of town and hoped to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by designing a symbol concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs created for Greenville medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping green frog designed for a family fun center in Greenville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Greenville traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Greenville logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Greenville logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s portion of challenges, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Greenville publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a published book since it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many occurrences one of the items individuals tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Greenville logo layout used for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Greenville, style include an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which related an atmosphere of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program developer the design attributes as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Greenville logo dsign utilizing an image that grabs the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t really produced for an Greenville area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this company was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to create an identity that projects esteem, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design created for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
