Myrtle Beach Logo Design

Each and every new Myrtle Beach venture knows they need a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their company logo will perform in their success, or why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term effect on the success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Myrtle Beach businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require consideration, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Myrtle Beach coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older section of the community and hoped to project a retro vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by designing a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Myrtle Beach medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Myrtle Beach.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Myrtle Beach traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Myrtle Beach logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Myrtle Beach logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased assessments on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo design understand how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Myrtle Beach publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the things individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was definitely a success.

Myrtle Beach logo design utilized for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Myrtle Beach, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that almost every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that communicated a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software program programmer the style attributes as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Myrtle Beach business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which seizes the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Myrtle Beach area farm it was actually created for a commodities broker, and this particular company was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Logo design developed for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is similar to a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
