North Augusta, South Carolina Logo Design

Nearly every new North Augusta business person understands that they need a logo, but few new business owners fully grasp the pivotal role their logo will perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo design functions more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting effect on the prosperity of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help North Augusta, South Carolina businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.
Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a North Augusta, South Carolina coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older part of the area and wished to project a vintage feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved both jobs by means of developing a symbol concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria made for North Augusta, South Carolina medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members fun facility in North Augusta, South Carolina.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for North Augusta, South Carolina travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Augusta logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

North Augusta logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of challenges, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for North Augusta, South Carolina publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

North Augusta logo style made use of for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in North Augusta, South Carolina, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo that carried a spirit of simplicity and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software program developer the layout features and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to sell their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their North Augusta business logo dsign along with a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really designed for an North Augusta, South Carolina area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projects esteem, effectiveness, and prosperity.

North Augusta Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for externally facing arrow and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the liberty to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Fortunately, in this particular instance, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the owner to create a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
