Tennessee Logo Design

Every new Tennessee  venture understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely are aware of the key role their logo will perform in their success, or precisely why one logo functions far better than another. A logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Tennessee businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Tennessee coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older section of the town and wanted to project a vintage feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks by developing a sign design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Tennessee clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Tennessee.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Tennessee traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tennessee  logo design but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Tennessee logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral opinions on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design understand how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s share of obstacles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Tennessee book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most critical part of a published book given that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many occurrences one of the traits people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Tennessee logo design used for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Tennessee, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which related an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a company logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian equine logo style produced for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted an original custom logo concept customized to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having an identifiable head shape and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable equine types in the entire world.

Las Cafe logo layout a small restaurant, style contains a changed manuscript font style which floats over a team of elaborate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, design consists of a modified script font style which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software application developer the layout functions as well as famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Progress logo design created for a Tennessee interior developer, design function a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Tennessee  interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who organizes, investigates, coordinates, and manages such tasks. Interior design is a diverse occupation that involves conceptual development, space planning, location inspections, programming, investigation, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and execution of the design.

logo layout done for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V and A in center of the word progressed have actually been modified to link directly right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Tennessee logo design project was completed for a leadership expert that aids business professionals to become more efficient at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Tennessee business logo design along with an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really produced for an Tennessee  farm it was in reality designed for a products broker, and this particular trademark was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to create a graphic that projected trust, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Tennessee Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo design designed for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
