Tennessee Logo Design

Virtually every new Tennessee company understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully are aware of the essential role their logo can make in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo performs better than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Tennessee companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Tennessee coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an older part of the city and hoped to project an old-fashioned tone without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks by developing a logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Tennessee medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design Project

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog developed for a household enjoyable center in Tennessee.

Cool Springs | Retail Branding Project

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Tennessee traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tennessee logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Tennessee logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design Project

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Tennessee book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design Project

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books. This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design Project

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems that in many occurrences one of the items folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a victory.

Tennessee logo layout utilized for marketing as well as a tag style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design Project

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Tennessee, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design Project

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it appears that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry. I really enjoy doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on. Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.
William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design Project

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project. The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.
Logo layout produced for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that communicated a spirit of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.
Arabian equine logo design produced for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design Project

Las Coffee shop logo design a small restaurant, layout contains a changed manuscript font which floats over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design Project

Las Cafe logo design a tiny dining establishment, layout contains a modified script font which hovers above a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software program designer the design features as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design Project

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Advance logo style produced for a Tennessee indoor developer, layout attribute a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design Project

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Tennessee logo design job was undertaken for a leadership coach that aids business professionals to develop into more effective at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.
A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Tennessee logo design design using a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.

Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really produced for an Tennessee area farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to generate a image that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.

Tennessee Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design feature for outwardly dealing with arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo developed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
