Dyersburg Logo Design

Nearly every new Dyersburg business knows they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the key role their company logo will play in their success, or the reason that one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and sustaining influence on the success of a business, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Dyersburg businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Dyersburg coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an older part of the area and hoped to project a vintage feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by creating a company logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Dyersburg clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable center in Dyersburg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Dyersburg travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Dyersburg logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Dyersburg logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Dyersburg publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many cases one of the items individuals tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was surely a winner.

Dyersburg logo layout used for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Instance includes an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Dyersburg, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that almost every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that related a feeling of serenity and class for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is more often than not the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo design for a software designer the design functions and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Dyersburg logo dsign utilizing an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually designed for an Dyersburg regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to design a brand mark that projects assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design made for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is similar to a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
