Franklin, Tennessee Logo Design

Virtually every new Franklin organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the vital role their logo will perform in their success, or why one logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Franklin, Tennessee businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from labels to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.
Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Franklin, Tennessee coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an older part of the town and wanted to cast a vintage vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by designing a company logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Franklin, Tennessee clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Franklin, Tennessee.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Franklin, Tennessee travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Franklin logo but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Franklin logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s portion of challenges, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Franklin, Tennessee publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the traits people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Franklin logo layout used for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Franklin, Tennessee, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that each and every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which carried an atmosphere of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software designer the style functions and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Franklin logo design dsign along with an image which seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually developed for an Franklin, Tennessee regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a image that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.

Franklin Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design attribute for externally dealing with arrow and also the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it provides a designer the opportunity to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo made for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
