La Vergne Logo Design

Every new La Vergne company understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully realize the vital role their logo will play in their success, or exactly why one logo functions far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining impact on the success of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help La Vergne companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a La Vergne coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old part of the city and wanted to project an old-fashioned feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by designing a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs created for La Vergne medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in La Vergne.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for La Vergne traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  La Vergne logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

La Vergne logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how vital a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s share of difficulties, however the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for La Vergne publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

La Vergne logo style used for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in La Vergne, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that conveyed a spirit of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is usually the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the importance on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian equine logo style developed for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed an original logotype concept fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having an unique head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, design contains a changed manuscript font style which hovers above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a tiny dining establishment, style contains a modified script font which hovers above a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software application designer the style features as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo layout developed for a La Vergne interior designer, layout feature a collection of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a La Vergne interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who prepares, explores, coordinates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a diverse profession that involves conceptual development, space planning, site assessments, programming, study, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style done for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words progressed have been modified to tie straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This La Vergne logo design job was done for a leadership advisor that assists business professionals to become more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo style including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their La Vergne logo dsign using an illustration that seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really composed for an La Vergne regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this particular logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to develop an identity that projects self-assurance, success, and opulence.
Logo design designed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked directly with the owner to develop a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
