Mount Juliet, Tennessee Logo Design

Each and every new Mount Juliet company understands that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely grasp the key role their company logo can play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Mount Juliet, Tennessee companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Mount Juliet, Tennessee coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an older part of the city and wanted to visualize a nostalgic tone without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished each of the tasks via developing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs developed for Mount Juliet, Tennessee clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Mount Juliet, Tennessee travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Mount Juliet logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Mount Juliet logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Mount Juliet, Tennessee publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most critical part of a published book since it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the things consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Mount Juliet logo layout used for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which carried a feeling of simplicity and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of making simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is oftentimes the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Logo style for a software programmer the style functions as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo design including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to sell off their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Mount Juliet logo dsign utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo designed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a renowned sports team logo design.

I have designed loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
