Addison Logo Design

Each and every new Addison venture knows they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely are aware of the vital role their business logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions better than another. A logo has an immediate and lasting impact on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Addison businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Addison coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older part of town and wished to project a nostalgic feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I achieved the two tasks by means of developing a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Addison clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in Addison.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Addison traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Addison logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Addison logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I really relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest opinions on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of hurdles, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Addison publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many cases 1 of the traits folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a success.

Addison logo design utilized for marketing and a label design for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Addison, design include an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which conveyed a spirit of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious course of making just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a business logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the importance on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo style for a software designer the design features as well as renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Advance logo design produced for a Addison interior designer, style function a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo layout provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V and A in middle of the word advanced have actually been modified to link straight right into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Addison logo design assignment was undertaken for a leadership consultant that aids business professionals to develop into more efficient at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Addison logo design dsign along with an illustration that seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually developed for an Addison regional farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular company was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to develop a graphic that projects assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo made for using a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script typeface that is evocative a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
