Alief Logo Design

Every new Alief organization realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely recognize the pivotal role their business logo can perform in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs far better than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term impact on the financial success of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Alief businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Alief coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an old part of the town and hoped to visualize a nostalgic feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by designing a custom logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Alief medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Alief.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Alief travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Alief logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Alief logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Alief book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book since it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the things people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Alief logo style made use of for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Alief, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that conveyed a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious path of making merely a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo style developed for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind logotype design fashioned to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. By having a distinctive head shape and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most immediately recognizable horse breeds in the entire world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, design includes a changed manuscript font style which floats above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software programmer the design features as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

Evolve logo style developed for a Alief interior developer, layout function a collection of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

logo style done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V as well as A in middle of the word advanced have actually been changed to connect directly right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Alief logo design job was performed for a leadership coach that helps business professionals to become more efficient at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Alief logo design dsign utilizing an illustration which grabs the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Alief regional farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this logo design was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to develop a brand mark that projects esteem, financial success, and opulence.
Logo created for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is evocative a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
