Alvin Logo Design

Every new Alvin business realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully realize the crucial role their organization logo will make in their success, or exactly why one logo design works better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting impact on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Alvin businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Alvin coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old part of the city and hoped to cast a vintage atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via designing a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria made for Alvin clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Alvin.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Alvin traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Alvin logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Alvin logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s share of challenges, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Alvin book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most vital part of a printed book since it is often the initial thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems that in many occurrences one of the aspects consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Alvin logo style made use of for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Alvin, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it appears that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that communicated a feeling of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo design for a software designer the style functions as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Alvin logo dsign utilizing an image that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually composed for an Alvin regional farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to produce a brand mark that projects confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design developed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
