Amarillo Logo Design

Nearly every new Amarillo organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their business logo will take in their success, or precisely why one business logo works better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining impact on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Amarillo businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be grasped in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Amarillo coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an old section of town and wanted to cast an old-fashioned atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via creating a company logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Amarillo medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family members fun facility in Amarillo.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - designed for Amarillo travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Amarillo logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Amarillo logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Amarillo book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most critical part of a published book given that it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it looks like that in many instances 1 of the things folks often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Amarillo logo layout utilized for marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Amarillo, style include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it seems that virtually every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which related a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead crafted a logo design that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the perception that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian steed logo layout created for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software program programmer the design attributes as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it stands for.

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and also A in center of the word progressed have actually been modified to tie directly right into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Amarillo logo design assignment was undertaken for a management consultant that helps business leaders to develop into more successful at handling people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Amarillo logo design dsign using an image that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really composed for an Amarillo regional farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to produce a brand mark that projected self-assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo design created for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
