TIPS ON CHOOSING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A business logo is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company presents a money back guarantee try to remember that they simply cannot reimburse the amount of time you commit which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Some designers talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be determined from the quality of their design work, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t feature actual samples odds are they won’t be able to deliver a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s purpose is to echo your personal vision for your organization. If a designer is not focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how fast they can get paid.

Angleton LOGO DESIGN

For over twenty years ImageCo has been helping start ups and entrepreneurs establish notable brand identities. We’ve undertaken logo design work for ranchers, universities, heart surgeons, party planners, bistros, retailers, and practically every other kind of business concern you can envision. What makes us unique compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every logo design project as though it will be utilized as an electric sign. Because of our sign first approach our designs can, and have been employed in everything from fashion labels to billboards. Our sign first technique ensures that our logos are just as successful whether they are used in television commercials or web apps, they are consistently recognizable, comprehended, and remembered irrespective of scale or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design companies that you probably have stumbled upon online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are contracted to perform, we do ourselves. Regardless of the type of design project we accept, business logo, business website, trade show exhibition, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will job-out our client’s projects to contractors based outside the United States. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the person that answers the phone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not an agent that marks up the price of your design project and imposes the conditions of how you and I do business.

ASPECTS OF A POWERFUL LOGO DESIGN

Nearly every new Angleton organization realizes that they require a logo, but few start-ups entirely understand the essential role their organization’s logo can make in their success, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and lasting effect on the viability of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Angleton businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need scrutiny, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

understanding branding

Brand – It is both a verb and also a noun, it’s an identifying mark and also the act of noting something to make sure that it can be distinguished, its foundation comes from the brand burned onto animals. Nowadays a brand signifies basically anything with a motive, regardless of whether it be revenue or government agencies, a brand is an innate aspect of defining the worth of something in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like advertising and marketing’s attractive cousin, they are each from the exact same family, the distinction being that advertising and marketing have to do with making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition targeted at a target market, it’s goal is to produce a mental image that the target market will identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing and identity design. When somebody mentions the names Ferrari or Mustang what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can carry us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, beauty, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals want those products. Brand image is why people buy specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you reflect on the origin of the majority of branding agencies you’ll find that they are frequently re-branded advertising and marketing agencies. When somebody says they are in advertising and marketing lots of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that focuses on a type of visual design that helps shape the perception of a company, a product or a company. Brand identity designers develop logo designs, signage designs, product packaging, as well as collateral products such as cards, stationery, as well as sales brochures. Some identity designers also develop sites and software interfaces. The essential role of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and a psychological tone with the objective of affecting actions, outcomes as well as assumptions.

select signs/logos

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Angleton coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually launching in an older section of town and hoped to cast a retro feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished both tasks by designing a trademark concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Angleton medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine that deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable facility in Angleton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - developed for Angleton traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Angleton logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Angleton logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how important a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Angleton book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book because it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many cases one of the items people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Angleton logo design made use of for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Angleton, design include an arc with lines converging via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style produced for a Angleton hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed an atmosphere of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style developed for a horse cattle ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct brand concept customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With a different head form and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most immediately identifiable horse types in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Angleton restaurant logo design a little restaurant, layout contains a modified manuscript font style which floats above a group of luxuriant lines and also dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a tiny dining establishment, layout contains a changed script typeface which floats over a team of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout functions as well as iconic Angleton aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Progress logo design produced for a Angletonindoor designer, style feature a series of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Angleton interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a professional who plans, investigates, collaborates, and oversees such tasks. Interior design is a diverse occupation that involves conceptual development, space planning, site examinations, programming, investigation, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Angleton, the characters for letter V and also A in center of words progressed have been changed to tie straight into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Angleton logo design assignment was undertaken for a leadership expert that assists business leaders to become more efficient at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Angleton business logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Angleton logo design design using a graphic which seizes the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo layout MQ farms, this Angleton company logo style has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really created for an Angleton regional farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of many which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to develop a brand mark that projected assurance, effectiveness, and wealth.

Angleton Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style function for externally facing arrow and also the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo made for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a famous Angleton sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a business logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
