TIPS FOR PICKING THE BEST LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design company offers a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they simply cannot refund the amount of time you commit which is much more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but ultimately a design firm can only be evaluated by the quality of their design work, if the work in their design portfolio does not contain real world examples odds are they will not be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s goal is to echo your unique vision for your company. If a designer isn’t focused on actualizing your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Canyon Lake LOGO DESIGN

For over two decades ImageCo has been helping businesses of all kinds establish unforgettable brands. We’ve performed brand identity design work for farmers, universities, heart surgeons, wedding singers, coffee shops, retail stores, and practically every other kind of business concern you can think of. What makes us unique compared to our contemporaries is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every design as though it will be employed as an electric sign. As a result of our sign first method our designs can, and have been utilized in everything from clothing labels to billboards. Our sign first approach insures that our logo designs are just as reliable whether they are used in TV commercials or web apps, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and always remembered regardless of scale or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

The thing that seriously sets ImageCo apart from other design agencies that you probably have stumbled upon online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every design project we are hired to do, we do ourselves. Regardless of the type of design project we undertake, logo design, web page, trade show exhibit, or commercial sign, we do not, and never will job-out our client’s projects to companies based outside the US. When you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the party that answers the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that marks up the price of your design project and dictates the conditions of how we do business.

ASPECTS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Every new Canyon Lake business knows they require a logo, yet few new business owners entirely realize the pivotal role their organization’s logo will perform in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design works far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long term impact on the success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Canyon Lake companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from clothing labels to store signs a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the product or business they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s a verb as well as a noun, it is an identifying mark and also the act of marking something so that it could be distinguished, its origin comes from the brand burned onto livestock. Today a brand symbolizes basically anything with an objective, whether it be revenue or politics, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the worth of a specific thing in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are all from the very same family, the difference being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity contest directed at a target audience, it’s goal is to develop a mental image that the audience will identify with.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated by advertising and marketing and identity design. When a person says the brand names Ferrari or Corvette what we think of is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of a vehicle with 4 wheels that can move us from point A to point B, the the mental image we have (or at least I have) is of freedom, elegance, of something dangerous and exotic . That is brand image and brand image is what makes people buy those brands. Brand image is why people acquire specific brands, from Pepsi to Coke Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that we can identify with.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the history of many branding firms you’ll find that they are frequently rebranded marketing firms. When someone says they are in marketing most people will likely have an idea about what they do. But when a person claims “I am in branding”… it simply seems much more impressive, perhaps it’s because most individuals do not know what it means to be in branding so it comes off as mysterious and maybe even attractive.

Brand Identity – Is a comprehensive term that defines the visual elements of a product or company that influence perceptions. This mostly consists of the name, the logo design, the packaging, the different colors utilized yet can likewise include sound, lights, texture, signs, really anything that can be seen, felt or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designer
– A brand identity designer is a visual designer that focuses on a kind of visual design which helps form the image of a firm, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers create logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, as well as collateral material such as cards, stationery, and also sales brochures. Some identity designers also build sites as well as software interfaces. The vital duty of a brand identity designer is to create the visual cues as well as a psychological tone with the goal of affecting activities, outcomes and also perceptions.

select SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Canyon Lake coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening up in an older part of the city and really wanted to project an old-fashioned feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by creating a custom logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Canyon Lake medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family enjoyable center in Canyon Lake.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Canyon Lake traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Canyon Lake logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Canyon Lake logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his aversion for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral viewpoints on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Canyon Lake publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many cases one of the items folks often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Canyon Lake logo layout used for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Canyon Lake, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs because it seems that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a Canyon Lake hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that conveyed a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo design that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian steed logo style produced for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind brand concept fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having a distinctive head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable horse lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Canyon Lake restaurant logo layout a tiny restaurant, design includes a changed manuscript font which floats over a team of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a little restaurant, design consists of a customized manuscript font style which hovers over a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software programmer the style functions and also iconic Canyon Lake component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Advance logo layout developed for a Canyon Lakeinterior developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Canyon Lake interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who organizes, researches, collaborates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a diverse profession that involves conceptual development, space planning, site evaluations, programming, analysis, interacting with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo design provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Canyon Lake, the characters for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have actually been customized to link straight into words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Canyon Lake logo design job was undertaken for a leadership consultant that aids business professionals to become more successful at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A Canyon Lake business logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Canyon Lake logo design utilizing a graphic that garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.

Logo layout MQ farms, this Canyon Lake company logo layout has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Canyon Lake regional farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this particular business logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to generate a image that projects assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.

Canyon Lake Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what type of logo design they preferred, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to discover any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of recognizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a popular Canyon Lake sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
