Carrollton Logo Design

Every new Carrollton company knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly understand the key role their business logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo has an instant and long-term impact on the growth of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Carrollton companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Carrollton coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older section of the community and wanted to visualize a vintage tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by developing a trademark concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Carrollton clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping green frog made for a family members fun facility in Carrollton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for Carrollton traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carrollton logo design but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Carrollton logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Carrollton book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a printed book given that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Carrollton logo style used for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Carrollton, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that each and every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to illustrate specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected a feeling of peace and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software programmer the design features and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Carrollton logo design dsign with a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand idea wasn’t actually composed for an Carrollton regional farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop an identity that projects confidence, financial success, and affluence.
Logo designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the owner to create a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
