DeSoto Logo Design

Every new DeSoto business knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the key role their logo can play in their success, or why one logo design works more effectively than another. A business logo has an instant and long term effect on the growth of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help DeSoto businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a DeSoto coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old part of the city and really wanted to project a retro atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by means of creating a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for DeSoto clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in DeSoto.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - designed for DeSoto travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather project emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  DeSoto logo design but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

DeSoto logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial point of views on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s share of hurdles, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for DeSoto publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most important part of a printed book since it is usually the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it looks like that in many cases 1 of the items consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

DeSoto logo design made use of for advertising and a tag design for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in DeSoto, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that projected an atmosphere of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively crafted a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind brand concept customized to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With an identifiable head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily identifiable horse types in the entire world.

Logo design for a software program designer the layout features as well as iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Progress logo style created for a DeSoto indoor designer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo design done for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words progressed have actually been modified to tie straight into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This DeSoto logo design project was done for a leadership guide that enables business professionals to develop into more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell off their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their DeSoto business logo dsign using an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really designed for an DeSoto area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to design a brand mark that projects esteem, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to develop a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
