Duncanville, Texas Logo Design

Virtually every new Duncanville business realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the key role their logo design can play in their success, or the reason that one logo design works better than another. A logo has an instant and lasting effect on the financial success of a business, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Duncanville, Texas companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Duncanville, Texas coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old part of town and hoped to cast a vintage tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by designing a company logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria designed for Duncanville, Texas clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Duncanville, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Duncanville, Texas traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Duncanville logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Duncanville logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how important a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job has it’s share of hurdles, but the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Duncanville, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most vital part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it looks like that in many cases one of the items consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Duncanville logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Duncanville, Texas, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs because it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually enjoy doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that related a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the focus on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application developer the style features and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Duncanville business logo dsign along with an image which grabs the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually produced for an Duncanville, Texas area farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Duncanville Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style function for outwardly encountering arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo design designed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
