Edinburg Logo Design

Nearly every new Edinburg venture realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their company logo will take in their becoming successful, or exactly why one business logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and long term impact on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Edinburg businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Edinburg coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were actually launching in an older section of the town and really wanted to project a retro feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs by developing a custom logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and germs created for Edinburg medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping green frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Edinburg.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Edinburg traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Edinburg logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Edinburg logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased opinions on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Edinburg publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most critical part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the first thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was surely a winner.

Edinburg logo design made use of for marketing and also a label style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Edinburg, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it seems that almost every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which conveyed a sense of serenity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application designer the style functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in many cases the meaning behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Edinburg logo dsign using an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Edinburg area farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to generate an identity that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo made for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
