El Paso, Texas Logo Design

Nearly every new El Paso business person knows they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully realize the vital role their logo design will make in their success, or precisely why one logo design functions better than another. A business logo has an instant and long-term impact on the success of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help El Paso, Texas companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to billboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.
Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a El Paso, Texas coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old part of town and hoped to cast a retro vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the tasks via developing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for El Paso, Texas clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family members fun facility in El Paso, Texas.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for El Paso, Texas traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  El Paso logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

El Paso logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective viewpoints on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo realize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, style for El Paso, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, yet it is the most important part of a published book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book store. For a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity they will likely ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

El Paso logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in El Paso, Texas, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it seems that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to summarize exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that communicated a spirit of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the main focus on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software developer the style features and also famous component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to market their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their El Paso logo design dsign utilizing an image that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an El Paso, Texas regional farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this particular logo design was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to make a graphic that projects self-confidence, success, and prosperity.

El Paso Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style feature for externally facing arrow and the arrowheads indicate that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to explore any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st shot.

Logo design developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
