Galveston, Texas Logo Design

Each and every new Galveston venture understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully comprehend the pivotal role their company logo can make in their financial success, or why one logo functions far better than another. A logo has a critical and long term effect on the growth of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Galveston, Texas companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Galveston, Texas coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old part of the community and wished to visualize an old-fashioned atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by creating a trademark concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Galveston, Texas medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog made for a family members enjoyable facility in Galveston, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Galveston, Texas traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Galveston logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Galveston logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Galveston, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the traits consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Galveston logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag design for Vintage Case features an antiquated font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Galveston, Texas, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it appears that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really really love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to describe how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that carried an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious route of designing just a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe logo design a tiny restaurant, layout contains a changed manuscript font style which floats above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a little dining establishment, design contains a changed script font style which floats over a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software developer the style features and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Galveston business logo dsign with an image which pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Galveston, Texas regional farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this trademark was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to design an identity that projected self-confidence, success, and prosperity.

Galveston Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo design feature for externally facing arrowhead as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the freedom to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first go.

Logo created for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
