Galveston Logo Design

Each and every new Galveston business realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly recognize the vital role their organization logo can make in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term impact on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Galveston companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Galveston coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older section of the area and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by designing a trademark design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Galveston medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog created for a family enjoyable facility in Galveston.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - developed for Galveston travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Galveston logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Galveston logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Galveston publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a published book since it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book store. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the traits consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was surely a success.

Galveston logo layout made use of for advertising and also a label design for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Galveston, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that communicated a feeling of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo which implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the attention on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software program developer the design attributes and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Progress logo layout produced for a Galveston indoor designer, style attribute a series of red circles that converge and also change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell off their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Galveston logo dsign utilizing an illustration which seizes the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t really developed for an Galveston regional farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate a graphic that projected trust, success, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
