Garland, Texas Logo Design

Nearly every new Garland organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the key role their logo design can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo performs far better than another. A logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the financial success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Garland, Texas companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Garland, Texas coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an old section of the city and wanted to visualize a nostalgic feel without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs by means of developing a business logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and germs created for Garland, Texas medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Garland, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Garland, Texas travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Garland logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Garland logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo recognize how important a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Garland, Texas publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases one of the things consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Garland logo design utilized for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Garland, Texas, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really really love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that carried a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a company logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design produced for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software programmer the style functions and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Garland business logo dsign utilizing a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really created for an Garland, Texas area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a brand mark that projects trust, success, and opulence.

Garland Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design feature for externally dealing with arrowhead and the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the opportunity to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s difficult to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular instance, I hit a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the business owner to design a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
