Harlingen Logo Design

Virtually every new Harlingen venture realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely grasp the crucial role their organization logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo functions far better than another. A logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Harlingen businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Harlingen coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older section of town and hoped to project a nostalgic atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by developing a trademark concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as bacteria made for Harlingen clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Harlingen.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Harlingen travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Harlingen logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Harlingen logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective point of views on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Harlingen book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most important part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many instances one of the things individuals tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Harlingen logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Situation features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Harlingen, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo which carried a sense of calmness and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of creating just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a unique business logo design tailored to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of horses. With a different head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most immediately identifiable equine lineages in the whole world.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout features as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their secondhand items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Harlingen business logo dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Harlingen regional farm it was really designed for an investments broker, and this brand was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to develop a graphic that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is evocative a famous sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
