Huntsville Logo Design

Each and every new Huntsville venture knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the pivotal role their business logo can take in their financial success, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A logo design has an instant and long term impact on the growth of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Huntsville businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand deliberation, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Huntsville coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an older section of the town and really wanted to visualize a vintage vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via developing a logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs created for Huntsville clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a household fun center in Huntsville.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Huntsville traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Huntsville logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Huntsville logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest opinions on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s share of challenges, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Huntsville publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a published book given that it is usually the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it looks like that in many instances one of the traits people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a winner.

Huntsville logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Huntsville, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in height to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected a feeling of calmness and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the importance on the perception that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software program programmer the design attributes and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo style created for a Huntsville indoor designer, style function a series of red circles that converge and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell off their previously owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Huntsville logo dsign along with a graphic that seizes the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem design wasn’t actually designed for an Huntsville regional farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to produce an identity that projects trust, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design designed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
