Hurst, Texas Logo Design

Nearly every new Hurst venture understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the key role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or why one business logo performs better than another. A business logo has an instant and long term influence on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Hurst, Texas businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Hurst, Texas coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an older section of the area and really wanted to visualize a nostalgic tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by means of developing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and also germs designed for Hurst, Texas medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable center in Hurst, Texas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Hurst, Texas traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hurst logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Hurst logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial point of views on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo design realize how important a logo is for their business so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Hurst, Texas book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, however it is the most important part of a printed book given that it is ordinarily the primary thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems that in many occurrences one of the things consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to confering a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Hurst logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Hurst, Texas, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects considering that it appears that almost every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually enjoy doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that conveyed a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather created a company logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo layout produced for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application developer the layout functions as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Hurst logo design dsign utilizing an image that pulls in the interest of traffic and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really composed for an Hurst, Texas area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to generate a image that projected esteem, effectiveness, and affluence.

Hurst Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for externally encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to discover any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular instance, I nailed a bullseye with the first go.

Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is similar to a renowned sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
