Katy Logo Design

Every new Katy business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their organization logo will make in their success, or why one logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting influence on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Katy businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Katy coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older section of the area and hoped to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two jobs by means of creating a trademark design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Katy medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun center in Katy.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Katy travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Katy logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Katy logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s share of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Katy book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a spirit of flight and it was certainly a success.

Katy logo design utilized for advertising as well as a label style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Katy, style include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which projected a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo that implied an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style created for a steed cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a small restaurant, style includes a changed manuscript font which floats over a group of elaborate lines and also dots.

Logo style for a software program programmer the layout functions as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Develop logo design produced for a Katy interior designer, layout feature a series of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Katy logo dsign utilizing a graphic that pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Katy area farm it was in reality devised for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a brand mark that projects self-confidence, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the proprietor to design a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
