Killeen Logo Design

Nearly every new Killeen organization knows they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners entirely are aware of the key role their logo design can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo functions better than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term influence on the success of a business, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Killeen businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Killeen coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old part of the town and wished to cast a vintage vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by designing a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also germs created for Killeen medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members fun center in Killeen.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Killeen travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Killeen logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Killeen logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s portion of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Killeen publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the items consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Killeen logo style utilized for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance features an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Killeen, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs because it appears that almost every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which projected a sense of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious path of making just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the main focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software designer the layout functions as well as famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Progress logo layout developed for a Killeen interior developer, style function a collection of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Killeen logo dsign with an illustration that grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo design has actually a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really designed for an Killeen area farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this particular business logo was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to generate a graphic that projected assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is similar to a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
